 Before she became the heart and visionary behind Eastside Alchemy Market, Nozomi walked the journey of a maker and entrepreneur herself. As a proud vendor and the creative force behind Forever Beauty Jewelry, she spent years connecting with customers, celebrating handmade beauty, and living the small-business experience from the inside out.

Her path to community leadership wasn’t always easy — but it was powerful.

Born to an American father and Japanese mother in Sasebo City, Nagasaki, Japan, Nozomi grew up navigating two cultures. Finding her place between identities was not always easy, but it shaped her resilience, adaptability, and deep understanding of belonging.

In 1994, she moved to the United States with hope, determination, and the desire to build a better life. What followed were years of perseverance, including leaving an 18-year abusive relationship to protect her children, facing homelessness, and working physically demanding shifts at UPS while enduring multiple surgeries. Through it all, she never lost her resilience or her belief in the power of community.

Even during her toughest moments, she saw something many people overlook — opportunity. She understood how meaningful connection and supportive spaces could fuel healing, growth, and possibility. That vision became Eastside Alchemy Market — a curated marketplace designed to uplift metaphysical practitioners, holistic healers, artisans, and small businesses across the Pacific Northwest.
